Awards and Honors

Students in the Computer Science Department are regularly recognized for their research or their community service during their studies.

Edouard Bonnet (Class of 2008), a CNRS researcher, and Nataliia Bielova, a research director at Inria, are the two recipients of the 2025 Lovelace-Babbage Prize awarded by the French Academy of Sciences in partnership with the French Computer Society.
Neven Villani (class of 2020) received a Distinguished Paper Award at PLDI 2025 for his work during the ARPE.

Matteo Chancerel (Class of 2019) received the ENS Paris-Saclay Graduation Award for Normalian Commitment.
Emile Larroque (Class of 2020) received the ENS Paris-Saclay Graduation Award for Interdisciplinarity.
Gaëtan Douéneau-Tabot (Class of 2015) received the 2024 Ackermann Dissertation Award for his dissertation Optimization of string transducers.
Aliaume Lopez (Class of 2015) received the 2024 Ackermann Dissertation Award for his dissertation First Order Preservation Theorems in Finite Model Theory: Locality, Topology, and Limit Constructions (also LMF website).
